Oliver Glasner might try to sell two Crystal Palace stars this summer, including £80k-a-week star - opinion

Oliver Glasner is six games into his Crystal Palace career and he’ll already have identified who he can sell this summer.

It hasn’t been the smoothest of starts for Oliver Glasner, with just one win in six thus far and three defeats.

But despite the results not being quite there, the performances in the main have been encouraging and signs are beginning to show he’s changing things.

Most prominently, we saw this against Man City with Crystal Palace putting an impressive display in for most of the game.

But even then, there is a long way to go and a squad overhaul of some sort is required.

So with that in mind, here are the two players we think Glasner will be eager to sell this summer.

Who should Crystal Palace be looking to sell this summer

For Palace this summer there aren’t actually a lot of players who might be on the list to sell.

This is mainly due to the fact eight first-team players have contracts set to expire in the summer.

Outside of these players, most of whom would likely to on the cards to be sold anyway, there aren’t many we can imagine Glasner wanting to sell. But there are two that could be possibilities.

Joachim Andersen

The first name is Danish international Joachim Andersen, who isn’t exactly thriving right now for Palace.

He’s been fairly inconsistent since Glasner arrived and he’s hardly disguised his desire to move clubs over the past year.

Therefore, Glasner may find himself willing to sell Andersen, especially as young centre-halves continue to be the player’s most heavily linked this summer.

We’ve had both Cristhian Mosquera and Ronnie Edwards linked with moves this summer, and selling Andersen could mean both are affordable, especially with Andersen’s £80k-a-week wage.

With three-at-the-back not the formation, depth is also required so signing a couple of centre-halves would be perfect.

Odsonne Edouard

The second player is Odsonne Edouard, despite his goal against Manchester City last weekend.

The forward positions at Palace seem to be settled with no room for Edouard, with Jean-Philippe Mateta now established as the starter up top.

Edouard has been sparingly used this campaign since Glasner arrived and he quite clearly doesn’t favour him.

Selling Edouard could help with making a signing or two in attack this summer to support Mateta better.
