Ukrainian HUR strikes Russian aircraft factory in Voronezh Oblast

HUR spokesperson Andriy Yusov noted that the attack "damaged the main production facilities of the enterprise.”

Satellite images published by Radio Liberty show a collapsed roof located at the site of the 711th Aircraft Plant, used by Russia to repair missiles.

According to Ukrainian defense news outlet Defense Express, the plant in Borisoglebsk was repairing:

  • air-to-air missiles: R-27, R-73, R-33
  • air-to-surface missiles: X-25, X-58
  • guidance equipment for cruise missiles X-55 and high-speed missiles X-22
  • ground-based radio stations such as R-844M, R-845M and other systems of radio technical support of flights

The factory is located 300 km (186 mi) from the Ukrainian border.

Russian Telegram channels reported that two drones attacked the Borisoglebsky Aviation Training Center on April 9, damaging the building's facade and windows. They claim that no casualties were caused as a result of the attack.

The governor of Voronezh Oblast, Alexander Gusev, reported that local air defense and electronic warfare forces allegedly "detected and destroyed" an aircraft-type drone.
