Authorities have identified thepedestrian struck and killed by an SUV while trying to cross Route 46 in Parsippany on Monday as a Hudson County resident.
Sonia Diaz, 73, of Bayonne was hit on the westbound side near North Beverwyck Road at about 11 a.m., the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office said.
The SUV then collided with another vehicle, authorities said. Diaz was pronounced dead at the scene. Both drivers stopped. Neither has been issued a summons, though the investigation is ongoing.
