The unlikely romance came after Jamal’s split from Veronica Rodriguez, who he was seen kissing and taking for dinner while developing a “friendship” with Luisa. The 90 Day Fiance pair hooked up twice.
90 Day’s Jamal and Luisa hooked up
While Jamal and Luisa hinted at a hook-up during the last segment of The Single Life Tell All and admitted it wasn’t a one-time thing, Jamal was also spotted flirting with his ex, Veronica.
He ended up asking Veronica out for dinner, held her hands and kissed her on the cheek. Despite this, they were miked up, so everyone heard Jamal ask Luisa, “Did you have a good time last night?”
Jamal and Luisa, Tim’s ex-girlfriend, ended up going head-to-head with Veronica and Tim, questioning the legitimacy of their “perfect” public friendship.
Adamant they’re ‘just friends’
Although everyone thought there was a romance on the horizon, they have both claimed they’re “nothing more than just friends.” Luisa took to her Instagram Story to thank Jamal for having her back.
Luisa said that both she and Jamal know they are nothing more than great friends, “no matter how other people viewed us.” He wrote that he and Luisa were not “riding into any sunsets” together.
Jamal said Luisa is “just a friend” and he was thankful for her support during “this rollercoaster.” He added that he holds no “ill will” toward any of the 90 Day Fiancé cast members or production team.
TLC fans play romance guesswork
When it came out that Jamal and Luisa had hooked up twice on 90 Day Fiance, many became convinced they’re just attempting to become a new couple storyline next season.
One fan wrote, “Jamal slept with Luisa twice last night and trying to sleep with Veronica tonight. A dog. Veronica do better.” Another penned, “Man…he really disappointed some of us!”
“Jamal, flirting with Veronica and then talking about dating Luisa. What is he doing?” reacted a fellow viewer. While a fan simply teased: “Luisa and Jamal sittin in a tree..K I S S I N G.”
