While OJ Simpson and Liza Minnelli are not linked, there is a Twitter account about the celebrity which isn’t run by the star or her team and family.

The account, called Liza Minnelli Outlives, appears to announce when big names from Hollywood, sports and showbiz pass away. Pointing out Liza Minnelli, who is 78, is alive and well. The profile may seem insensitive to some viewers, while others confessed they only hear tragic news about big stars through the account.

One fan wrote: “Wait, what? The Juice? No way”.

A second said: “This CANNOT be how I found out.”

While a third said the Liza Minnelli account had tweeted before Wikipedia had edited their profile on OJ Simpson.

The tweet has been liked 6,000 times, retweeted more than 1,000 times and seen by 140,000 users in under the first hour after it was posted.

Sports star dies from cancer

The star, who is one of the most known American athletes of all time, passed away from cancer yesterday.

His family issued a statement on his social media account asking for privacy.

They said: “On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer.

“He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

“During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace,” they concluded the statement before signing off, “The Simpson family.”

OJ, who was accused of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, was acquitted of the crimes by a jury in a high-profile court case.

The trial was made into a drama series by American Crime Story and featured on Netflix. However, the Hollywood star did pay out damages to the victims’ families after a civil lawsuit was filed years later.

It found him responsible for wrongful death and battery, which ordered him to pay $33.5 million in damages.
