‘The most likely’: Liverpool could have a free run at hiring ‘fantastic’ manager now – journalist

Liverpool’s search for a new manager is somewhat overshadowing a fantastic conclusion to the Reds’ campaign.

Indeed, the headlines every day have been more about who will replace Jurgen Klopp than around Klopp’s current team and their trajectory.

However, that’s for good reason. Securing a successful future for the club is vitally important, and having the right manager in place is so crucial.

So, who will it be? Well, speaking on the Blood Red Podcast, Matt Addison has named who the most likely candidate may be at this point.

The most likely candidate for the Liverpool job

Addison spoke about Ruben Amorim’s links to Liverpool, claiming that he may have a very strong chance of getting the job.

“Ruben Amorim looks like the one who is the best fit and he’s one that Liverpool could almost have a free run at, Barcelona have been interested, but there are question marks around them and how appealing that would be,” Addison said.

“It feels like a natural step, that’s’ where the idea that he’s the frontrunner comes from. That’s not to say it’s guaranteed or they’ve offered anything or that they’ve had meetings, but it feels to me that’s the most likely one.

Ruben Amorim would make sense

Amorim sounds like he’s the frontrunner for the Liverpool job, and it would make sense if he were to come to Liverpool.

He’s been doing brilliantly over in Portugal, and if he can bring that sort of style and substance over to English football, he could be the perfect replacement for Jurgen Klopp.

Whether or not Liverpool do go ahead and appoint Amorim remains to be seen, but given how easy this appointment could be and how talented a coach the Portuguese gaffer looks, this is one that would make a lot of sense.

The ‘fantastic’ manager is certainly a contender to keep an eye on.
