'I just think': Micah Richards predicts who's more likely to win next week - Arsenal or Bayern Munich

Arsenal take on Bayern Munich in the second-leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash next week, and Micah Richards has revealed his prediction.

The Gunners and the German champions produced a fantastic game of football on Tuesday.

Arsenal took the lead with a brilliant goal from Bukayo Saka early on, but two uncharacteristic mistakes at the back gifted Bayern Munich the lead.

David Raya, Gabriel Magalhaes and Jakub Kiwior were all at fault for the first goal, while William Saliba was to blame for the penalty Arsenal conceded.

Thankfully for Mikel Arteta‘s side, Leandro Trossard equalised after the break, and that has set up a tremendous game next week to decide who goes through to the semi-finals.

Richards has named who he thinks will win the second leg.

Micah Richards predicts the winner of Bayern Munich vs Arsenal

Arsenal don’t have a great record against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

The Gunners suffered back-to-back 5-1 defeats in their last two games in Munich, which is terrible, but those days are long gone thanks to Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal are no longer underdogs like they were back then. They are one of the best teams in the world and can beat any side on their day now.

The Gunners could’ve easily won the game at the Emirates on Tuesday, but the draw makes the clash next week a really exciting one to watch.

Bayern will back themselves to get a win in their own backyard, but Arsenal will go there with no fear and many are arguing they have the better chance to win the game.

Micah Richards is one of those people, and he has now explained why Arsenal have an edge over the German champions in the second leg next week.

He said on the Rest is Football podcast: “It’s weird with Bayern. Bayern have actually been playing well in some games. It’s just defensively they’ve been all over the place.

“Harry Kane has scored 30-odd goals, Sane, we’ve seen what Sane can do when he’s on the ball, Gnabry, these are good players. They’re having an off-season but they’ve still got individual talent which is going to give you individual moments.

“Going to the Allianz next week, it’s going to be a tough game, really tough. If something clicks for them, Arsenal could be in trouble. But, the only reason I would say Arsenal have a better chance is because right now, they are performing better as a team.

“There’s been grumbles in the Bayern camp that the players are not getting up. Obviously, Tuchel’s leaving. But do you remember Tuchel at Chelsea? Things were not going well and they go and win the Champions League.

“So, don’t put it past them that they could win that game, but I just think Arsenal as a team are just a little bit more together.”

The big advantage Arsenal could have in the second leg

Almost everyone will agree that Bukayo Saka is Arsenal‘s best player in attack.

The Englishman has scored 18 goals and provided 13 assists in what has been a really impressive season. He is a tremendous player, and Micah Richards went as far as saying that he’s on his way to becoming a ‘world-class’ footballer.

Saka will be the main man for Arsenal in the second leg, and in what is a big boost for him and Arsenal, Alphonso Davies will miss the game due to suspension.

That means Bayern are likely to go with Raphaël Guerreiro at left-back, and as good as the Portuguese defender is, he is nowhere near as fast as Saka.

That could give the Arsenal man a huge advantage in the second leg, and if he can get the better of Guerreiro, the Gunners will have a great chance of winning the game.
