‘Really sad’: Heung-Min Son says he was absolutely gutted when Tottenham sold one player last summer

Heung-Min Son is known as one of the happiest players in world football.

The Tottenham captain always seems to have a smile on his face on the pitch, and it’s hard to imagine anything in the game causing him to be upset.

However, speaking to TNT Sports, Son has admitted that one transfer Spurs made in the summer really did upset him.

Heung-Min Son was upset by one player sale at Tottenham

Son spoke to TNT about Harry Kane’s departure from Spurs, and he had nothing but good words to say about his former teammate.

Son says that he loved playing with Kane and that he was actually really sad when the England captain decided to leave Spurs.

“We had something different I would say. We’d been together for nearly 10 years. We knew where we were and we demanded a lot from each other. It was a huge honour to play with him because he’s one of the best in the world. Look, he left which was really sad for me, but it was a good move for him and he does well scoring now for Bayern,” Son said.

Harry Kane leaving was a shame

Regardless of how Kane and Spurs have fared since their split in the summer, it has to be said that it was a shame that the striker had to leave.

Kane was well on his way to becoming the greatest one-club man the Premier League had ever seen, but, sadly, Spurs’ lack of silverware in recent years pushed him to leave the club.

Since then, Son has stepped up and become Spurs’ new attacking figurehead, but we can’t help but ponder what could’ve been if Kane and Son could’ve played together in this Ange Postecoglou team.

Who knows? Maybe one day Kane will be back at Spurs alongside Son. After all, there has been some chat about a buy-back clause in recent times.
