Krispy Kreme has released a new collection of doughnuts that combines chocolate with cheese – and it’s not a joke!
The three bizarre treats launched in the Philippines this week and have caused quite a stir on social media.
Krispy Kreme’s bizarre doughnuts
The limited-edition Cheese-filled Dough-Snacks are a collaboration with Frio-Lay and themed on their three most popular chips: Doritos, Ruffles and Cheetos.
All of them are filled with cheese, topped with white chocolate icing and sprinkled with chopped up potato chips.
One is covered in Nacho Cheese Doritos, another is Sour Cream & Onion Ruffles and the third is Cheddar Jalapeno Cheetos.
The strange sweet and salty doughnuts are exclusive to the Philippines and won’t be launching in the US (thankfully).
Combination divides internet
Some are quite intrigued by the combo, with one person writing: “Whooooa the collab that we didnt know we needed.”
“The Ruffles must taste good on the chocolate glazed,” said another.
A third person added: “Sweet and salty, me likey.”
“I want to try!” someone else said.
However, others are disgusted by cheese and chocolate being on the same doughnut and think the whole thing sounds vile.
Someone joked: “Go home Krispy Kreme, you’re too drunk to food today.”
“The chocolate is the deal-breaker,” said another.
A different person said: “That’s just 🤮.”

Krispy Kreme has just launched a new Kit Kat collection in the US, with three doughnuts themed around the famous chocolate bar.
The Kit Kat Crunch Doughnut is an Original Glazed doughnut hand-dipped in rich Hershey’s milk chocolate icing, finished with chopped Kit Kat pieces and chocolate flavored crispies.
Or, there’s the Kit Kat Cookie Dream Doughnut, an unglazed doughnut filled with cookie dough flavored cream, hand-dipped in Hershey’s milk chocolate icing and covered with chopped Kit Kat pieces, cookie crumbles, and semi-sweet Hershey’s chips with a delicate drizzle of cookie dough flavored icing.
The Kit Kat Salted Caramel Brownie Doughnut sounds great too, an Original Glazed doughnut topped with brownie batter-flavored buttercream, covered with chopped Kit Kat and brownie pieces, and finished with salted caramel flavored ribbons.
