Former Chelsea star Christian Pulisic has just done something for AC Milan that no one has since Kaka

A number of players who left Chelsea before this season started have actually gone on to enjoy strong campaigns away from West London.

There has been a particular focus on two players who made the switch to Europe and AC Milan, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic enjoying strong campaigns over there.

Both have seemed to avoid injury issues that plagued their life at Stamford Bridge, and are a problem which have notably impacted Mauricio Pochettino and his current squad this season.

The American has also rediscovered a regular goalscoring touch that Chelsea fans just did not see on a regular basis during his time here.

He found the net recently in the Serie A win over Lecce, and actually racked up a pretty impressive feat in the process.

Christian Pulisic matches Kaka goalscoring record

According to CentreGoals, the 25-year-old has become the first midfielder in club history to score ten goals since the days of Kaka.

The Brazilian obviously goes down as a club legend in Milan, winning the iconic Ballon d’Or award for his performances in 2007 as his club went on to win the Champions League.

Pulisic, also a Champions League winner with Chelsea in 2021, has done his best this year to show the Blues that the direction they have gone as far as the winger role goes this season is the wrong one.

Chelsea have faith in Madueke and Mudryk

Chelsea have put a lot of faith in the futures of both Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk, who were both signed for the club in January 2023.

However, the duo have had to compete with limited gametime, making it very difficult to get any consistency to their game.

It remains to be seen if Pochettino allows them the opportunity to start tonight against Everton, with the Englishman coming off a strong individual performance last time out against Sheffield United.
