22-year-old Chelsea player ignored Mauricio Pochettino after being subbed last night - journalist

Journalist Simon Johnson has said that one Chelsea player blanked manager Mauricio Pochettino after being subbed off last night.

He took to Twitter to state the pair somewhat resolved the matter, albeit only after complaints from the manager.

On the pitch, things went about as well as they could for the Blues as they returned to winning ways in style.

Chelsea dominate Everton 6-0

They were 6-0 victors against Everton, with the Cole Palmer show backed up nicely by goals from Nicolas Jackson and Alfie Gilchrist.

As the England international moved to level with Erling Haaland at the top of the goalscoring charts, Jackson made it double digits in the league for his first campaign with a smart finish.

He may have had even more if things had gone his way though, with the Senegal man one of the players who were keen to take a second half penalty off Palmer.

The 21-year-old pulled rank and scored, however this was clearly a source of frustration for Jackson and Noni Madueke.

Nicolas Jackson ignores Mauricio Pochettino

When the striker was replaced for youngster Deivid Washington in the second half, he showed his frustration by blanking Pochettino, as reported by Johnson.

He said: “Jackson walked straight past Pochettino to the dug-out…Pochettino turned round to say ‘eh, eh!’ Ends with both patting each other.”

The Argentine has already shared how disappointed he was to see an incident like the penalty debacle overshadow what was a superb team performance for the Blues.

On the pitch, the boss will be hoping the players took plenty of confidence from their display in preparation for the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City at the weekend.

Breaking their Wembley curse is clearly something the club need to solve pretty quickly, and there is perhaps no better time to do it in the game before a final, especially considering their opponents face the mammoth task of beating Real Madrid just days earlier in the Champions League.
