Crystal Palace scouts watch on as reported 20-year-old target shines right in front of them

For Crystal Palace, beating Liverpool has all but secured safety this season, and now Oliver Glasner’s attention can turn toward the summer.

The 1-0 win at Anfield was superb and the highest moment of the new era at Crystal Palace to date.

Oliver Glasner must’ve been absolutely delighted as he watched his players perfectly implement his gameplan, which left Jurgen Klopp saying “Wow”.

The three points moved Palace eight points clear of the drop while also boasting a game in hand on those below him, with just 15/18 points to play for.

So with safety in mind, the weekend also saw Palace send scouts to watch FC Copenhagen and FC Midtjylland face off in Denmark with two players as the potential focus.

Here’s what happened and who Palace may have been watching…

Who was Crystal Palace watching while scouting Midtjylland against Copenhagen?

According to Scouts in Attendance, there was a Palace scout present on Saturday at the 2-2 draw between two of Denmark’s best.

Midtjylland and Copenhagen may have drawn, but for the Palace scout, there will have been one player who stood out.

That name will have been Chilean forward Dario Osorio who scored and assisted in the game for Midtjylland.

Palace were linked with the 20-year-old last summer and could now be watching him with a view to making him a new signing this coming summer.

He can play on either wing and in the number 10 position which makes him ideal for the system Glasner is implementing.

This season, he grabbed five goals in 14 Superliga games but has exploded in the Championship round with two goals and an assist in three games.

Another option for whom Palace might’ve been scouting is Roony Bardghji who has been linked on numerous occasions with a move to Copers Cope.

Dougie Freedman is certainly shopping in the right market

This summer, Palace will need to shop smart in a bid to replace any outgoing stars but also to reinforce the team in general.

This makes for example signing from Premier League rivals undoable considering how expensive it would be.

Shopping in Denmark is a genius idea as for either of these players, the bank won’t be broken.

Osorio in particular is a potential bargain as he’s really evolved as a player since his move to Europe.
