Report: Sunderland-linked manager spotted in England amid rumours of summer exit from current club

A leading Sunderland managerial target has recently been spotted in England.

Sunderland sacked Michael Beale in February.

The former Rangers and QPR boss lasted just 12 games in what proved to be an extremely turbulent and controversial spell on Wearside.

Several names have been tipped to replace Beale at the Stadium of Light this summer.

For the time being, Mike Dodds is in charge and he’s now overseen 10 games in his third spell as interim boss, with five defeats, three draws, and two wins.

There’s a growing clamour of Sunderland fans wanting to see Kyril Louis-Dreyfus hire Reims boss Will Still in the summer.

He’s been turning heads in France and has been a talking point among Sunderland fans throughout the season, with the 31-year-old originally linked upon Tony Mowbray‘s exit late last year.

Transfer expert Graeme Bailey previously revealed to Sunderland AFC News that Still is who Sunderland ideally want to hire in the summer.

Since then, reports have named Paul Heckingbottom as Sunderland’s no.1 target going into the summer.

He’s out of work after leaving Sheffield United earlier this season.

Belgian-English coach Still has recently been spotted in England.

Daily Mail say that the young coach was in London at Stamford Bridge ahead of Chelsea’s Monday night clash vs Everton in the Premier League.

Their report says that Still was spotted outside the press room before the game.

It comes amid ongoing rumours that Still is fancied by his boyhood club West Ham, and after more recent rumours that Reims are readying themselves for Still’s exit in the summer.

Is Will Still being primed for the Chelsea job

Still certainly fits the bill for a top team like Chelsea.

He’s young and innovative, getting the best out of some top young players at Reims and garnering attention on social media all the time.

Btu Still has said himself that he feels a Premier League move in the near future would come too soon, hinting at the Championship being the next ideal step in his career.

Though what reason Still was at Stamford Bridge for, and why he was near the press room, remains to be seen.

He may have connections at the club, or it could simply have been to watch a game of football, as a football fan.

Still being in England though certainly feels as though it has a hidden meaning; what meaning that might be will surely grab the attention of Louis-Dreyfus and co at Sunderland.
