Suffolk Police appeal after dog causes considerable distress to horse and rider in Glemsford, near Sudbury

Police are appealing after a dog caused considerable distress to a horse and its rider in a Suffolk village.

The incident was at about 10.20am on Friday, April 12, in Low Street, Glemsford, near Sudbury.

The horse and rider were chased by a dog, described as a light-coloured Poodle-cross type, which caused considerable distress.

The owner of the dog was reportedly a woman with dark hair who was wearing a red jacket.

Officers ask anyone who believes they may know this woman, or who has any information regarding the incident, to contact the Crime Coordination Centre, quoting reference: 37/20857/24 via the website.
