Report: Arsenal have made £39m bid to sign player who has 'world class' potential

Arsenal have now made a bid to sign a player who could become world class one day – according to his manager.

Transfer rumours involving the Gunners are starting to heat up as we approach the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

Reports emerging from Turkey have already claimed that Arsenal are going to bid for Fenerbahce No.7 Ferdi Kadıoğlu this summer, after scouts were left seriously impressed.

Now – however – a new story claims that Arsenal have bid for a Bundesliga player…

Arsenal bid for Willian Pacho

Well, Mikel Arteta and Edu seemingly want a new central defender at the Emirates Stadium this summer, and a move has now been made – according to DAZN.

It is said that Arsenal have submitted a bid for Eintracht Frankfurt No.3 Willian Pacho after holding a meeting with officials from the German outfit.

DAZN believe the offer is worth €45m (£39m) – although it is unlikely to be accepted.

Eintracht Frankfurt are demanding €60m (£51m) to sell the Ecuador international this summer, with Liverpool also showing admiration for the South American.

That asking price could even raise.

DAZN add that Eintracht Frankfurt plan to keep hold of Pacho at least until the Copa America ends this summer, as the Bundesliga outfit hope to see the centre-back raise his value with some excellent performances on the international scene.

The 22-year-old has made 39 appearances across all competitions for Eintracht Frankfurt so far this season, helping them sit sixth in the Bundesliga.

Gunners could land a potentially world class footballer

Interestingly, Pacho has been described as a player of “world class potential” by his manager at Eintracht Frankfurt, Dino Toppmoller.

As quoted by the Bundesliga’s official website, the 43-year-old said: “He’s doing a great job, and is getting better all the time. He’s really reliable and has world class potential.”

Markus Krosche – Director of Football at Eintracht Frankfurt – added: “Willian is a very clever player, who listens well and is quick to implement what’s asked of him. His speed and strength in the tackle are what make him stand out.”

Clearly – at the age of just 22 – Pacho is a player of real talent, who is very highly rated by those who see him day in, day out.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Arsenal could soon submit an improved bid for the Ecuadorian – who Tottenham are also having a look at.
