Sheffield Wednesday are now out of the relegation zone in the Championship, with two games left to play.
For the first time under Danny Rohl, Sheffield Wednesday are outside of the bottom three in the Championship.
The Owls have popped their heads above the dotted line during games, but they’ve never finished a match and then stayed above it.
It comes after a memorable 3-1 win at Blackburn Rovers last time out.
Wednesday now have two games left to salvage their Championship status.
Latest on Danny Rohl future at Sheffield Wednesday
Rohl’s fine work in S6 since arriving in October hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Sheffield Wednesday’s Championship rivals Sunderland are interested in the German, who recently gave an interview to The Times in which he spoke about his future.
Rohl didn’t give much away, though.
He’s hoping to move his family over to the UK and that suggests that he at least wants to stay in the country, though whether that’ll be at Sheffield Wednesday remains to be seen.
Dom Howson message to Dejphon Chansiri
And after the win at Ewood Park, journalist Dom Howson has now sent a message to the controversial Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri.
It’s with regards to the future of Rohl and what needs to happen should Wednesday stay up, and Rohl stays on.
Howson’s message read:

There’s question marks over how much spending money there is at Sheffield Wednesday.
Most will agree that there really isn’t a lot, but there might be more than Chansiri makes out.
Earlier in the season, the Owls owner asked Sheffield Wednesday fans to all put in £100 and cover an outstanding £2million HMRC debt.
Chansiri said it was because of cash flow difficulties within his personal businesses, but soon after he cleared the bill himself.
And there’ll still likely be a horde of players leaving in the summer and taking some strain off the wage bill, so there’ll be money made available there.
So like Howson says, Chansiri really needs to show Rohl that he is an owner with ambitions and hopes for the club.
It seems likely that Rohl stays if Wednesday stay up; at least for one more season, given the relationship he has with the fans and the bond he’s made with the club as a whole.
But if a poor summer transfer window follows and Sheffield Wednesday struggle once more, few would blame Rohl for moving on to bigger and better.
The Owls return to action against West Brom at Hillsborough this weekend.
