Report: Player with 152 appearances for West Ham will leave London Stadium if Moyes goes

One West Ham United player will leave the club if David Moyes goes at the end of the season.

David Moyes is being heavily linked with a West Ham exit this summer, with it being suggested that the Scot is very likely to leave the club when the season ends.

The Scot has overseen a shocking run of results at West Ham in 2024, and a top seven finish now seems improbable.

What a shame that is. After we beat Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates on December 28th, we were sitting pretty in sixth spot in the tbale.

West Ham were just six points adrift of the Champions League places at the time, with a game in hand!

However, we are now sitting in eighth spot in the table after a run of just three Premier League wins since the turn of the year.

The Hammers are only six points ahead of 13th placed Fulham, and have been dumped out of Europe. It has been an awful second half of the campaign caused by a terrible run of form underpinned by Moyes’s poor management.

So excuse me if I’m looking forward to the day that the 61-year-old leaves the club. However, now it seems like one man in particular could follow him out the door…

Player with 152 appearances will leave West Ham if David Moyes goes

Most Hammers fans now have reached the point whereby they’re done with Moyes as our manager.

The Scot had a great opportunity to really push us on to another level this season, but his dour and negative approach has undoubtedly held us back.

It’s clearly time for a change in the managerial department, and amongst the playing staff as well it seems…

According to a report from talkSPORT, right-back Vladimir Coufal will follow Moyes out the door this summer, if the Scot does in fact leave the club.

That will be no great loss as far as I’m concerned. The 31-year-old has played 152 games for the Hammers (Transfermarkt), but he has regressed this season.

Sure, Coufal has still contributed with assists, but he gets rinsed by opposing wingers on a consistent basis.

The Hammers need to make a big upgrade on the Czech Republic international before the start of next season.

I think it’s actually good news that the West Ham player will leave if Moyes goes this summer.

What Coufal said about West Ham fans was completely wrong

The 31-year-old risked the wrath of the Hammers fanbase a couple of months ago when he suggested that we expect too much from the team:

“I maybe understand a bit of criticism but we have had some good results against top teams, so It’s a bit unnecessary. I think that sometimes the expectations of the fans is a bit too much. I think some of the pre-season predictions that we’ll fight top four or top three, too much.”

None of us expect our team to finish inside the top three or four.

All we ask for as fans is for our team to be competitive, to have a go and for the players not to sit back and invite pressure on themselves.

That’s all the West Ham fans have ever wanted, and Vladimir Coufal is clearly well out of touch with that.

As harsh as it may sound, don’t let the door hit you on the way out Vlad!
