Motorcyclist killed in collision with vehicle turning into parking lot in South Jersey

A 46-year-old motorcyclist was killed Wednesday night when he collided with another vehicle in Cumberland County, according to New Jersey State Police.

Angel Alicea Jr., of Bridgeton, was riding a motorcycle north on Route 77 near Laurel Plaza Drive in Upper Deerfield Township around 8:30 p.m. when he collided with a southbound passenger vehicle that was making a left turn into a parking lot, a police spokesman said.

Alicea was thrown from the motorcycle and died of his injuries, police said.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation, according to police.
