The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s lottery drawing has jumped to $284 million with a cash option of $127.6 million.
The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. and televised on WABC-7 in the New York City area and Fox 29 in the Philadelphia area. NJ.com will publish the winning numbers immediately following the drawing.
No one across the country hit Tuesday’s $257 million jackpot. There were also no second-prize, $1 million tickets sold.
Three second-prize tickets matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball were sold for Tuesday’s drawing. Tickets bought in Newburgh, New York and Mississippi are valued at $1 million each while a ticket sold in California is worth $392,160. California lottery prizes vary depending on ticket sales and number of winners. They differ from the fixed second prizes offered in other participating states.
Tuesday’s winning numbers were: 10, 18, 27, 37 and 61. The Mega Ball drawn was 5 with a Megaplier of 3x.
Theodds of a $2 ticket winning the Mega Millions jackpot by matching five numbers and the Mega Ball are 302,575,350 to 1.
Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million. The odds of matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball for a prize valued of at least $10,000 are 931,001 to 1.
Saturday’s Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $203 million with a cash option of $92.7 million.
