Steve Parish now sends message to Yannick Bolasie after what he said about Crystal Palace

Steve Parish has now sent a message to Yannick Bolasie after the 34-year-old shared some comments about Crystal Palace.

The DR Congo international is currently playing his football over in Brazil with Criciuma – although he has not forgotten about the place where his career burst into life.

From 2012 to 2016, Bolasie played a crucial role in our rise from Championship strugglers to a consistent Premier League outfit, racking up 144 appearances in total, with one even coming in an FA Cup final.

Make no mistake about it, the man from Lyon is a legend at Selhurst Park – and he has now shared his feelings about Crystal Palace eight years on from his departure…

Well, a popular account on X (formerly Twitter) asked Crystal Palace fans if they were bored after revealing a statistic, which mentions that the Eagles are set to finish between 40 – 49 points for an 11th consecutive season.

Admirably, Bolasie hit back with a lovely message.

The Criciuma No.11 said: “It’s a place everyone dreams of being, I think people don’t get how much of an achievement it is, the club has grown each year and is continuing to do so…most fans/clubs would do anything to be in our position.”

Note the use of the word “our” – Bolasie is clearly still an Eagle at heart.

Steve Parish responds

Crystal Palace fans unsurprisingly loved Bolasie’s message, and Parish was no different.

The 58-year-old wrote “❤️💙❤️💙” in response to the winger’s heartfelt post about the Eagles.

Clearly, there is still a lot of love between Bolasie and Crystal Palace, and the hugely entertaining winger should always feel welcome back at Selhurst Park.

He was responsible for some of the greatest times in Crystal Palace’s history, becoming the first player to score a Premier League hat-trick for the Eagles (something that has still not been matched) while also netting against Watford to fire us into the 2016 FA Cup final.

A true club legend – to say the very least.
