Tottenham outcast confirms he’s excited to work with Ange Postecoglou after successful loan

Tottenham Hotspur have now seen one of their on-loan players reveal his plans for the upcoming summer.

When Daniel Levy appointed Ange Postecoglou last summer, a number of changes were made to the squad with players coming and going from Hotspur Way.

This summer is expected to be no different with Postecoglou already admitting there will be change coming over the next few months in north London.

But there are be a number of players who will be returning to Spurs over the coming weeks as their loan deals come to an end with their temporary clubs.

Loan moves have provided a mixed bag for Tottenham so far with the likes of Joe Rodon enjoying an excellent spell away with Leeds United.

However, there have also been players like Tanguy Ndombele who remains in search of a move which can bring the best out of him.

One player who has spent the season away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has now admitted he is looking forward to returning to his parent side.

Tottenham loanee looking forward to Ange Postecoglou reunion this summer

One full season of progress is almost under the belt for Tottenham and the summer window will offer Postecoglou with the opportunity to assess their squad.

A significant number of players have already left the club over Postecoglou’s first two transfer windows on loan.

And a number of those players will likely return with their futures already decided as being away from N17.

But Japhet Tanganga has now admitted he is looking to return to Tottenham and work under Postecoglou.

The defender was initially sent out on loan to Augsburg before returning in January and then being offloaded to Millwall for the remainder of the campaign.

Speaking to Football.London, the 25-year-old has insisted that he is excited to get back to Hotspur Way and try to impress the 58-year-old manager.

“Yes, I am looking forward to working with Ange,” Tanganga said.

“Before I came out on loan to Germany, I was welcomed by him in pre-season and obviously I saw his ideas and did like them. Everyone can see that he’s very attack-minded, likes to keep the ball, and he’s doing well, so I’m looking forward to seeing his ideas and being a part of it.”

“My focus is to build on from my spell at Millwall, with the number of games I played. You want to be in a position where you’re playing week in, week out, so whether that’s at Spurs or somewhere else, that is something that needs to be discussed in the future and we’ll see where we go from there.”

Interesting Japhet Tanganga stats that show he may salvage his Tottenham future

After failing to play a single minute in the Bundesliga with Augsburg, Tanganga has seriously turned his season around with Millwall.

Having played 18 times in the Championship for Millwall, the defender has been able to rack up 17 starts after become a real mainstay in the side under Neil Harris.

Millwall ended the season in stunning fashion with five consecutive wins where they only conceded one goal.

It will be a big ask, but with the attitude he has and the displays at Millwall, perhaps Tanganga could have a future at Tottenham.
