'A measure of the man': Karren Brady pays tribute to Moyes by sharing something brilliant he did

West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has just opened up on her admiration for David Moyes.

Karren Brady is clearly a big fan of David Moyes, and she played a key role in bringing the Scot back to West Ham in December 2019.

The feeling is clearly mutual, and Moyes has raved about Brady on numerous occasions in the past.

The 61-year-old will leave West Ham at the end of this season, and he’s due to be replaced by Julen Lopetegui.

Lopetegui has a big reputation of being a master tactician, so it will be interesting to see how he fares at the London Stadium.

Despite the recent criticism of Moyes, the Spaniard will have a serious task on his hands, if he is to improve upon the Scot’s work, or even emulate it.

It seems like that statement will be true both on and off the pitch…

Moyes’s time in charge of the Hammers has been incredibly successful on the whole.

However, his time at the London Stadium is clearly up now – just four wins in all competitions in 2024 has seen to that.

Moyes should get a well-deserved glorious send off at the London Stadium today, after our final home game of the season against Luton.

And now that an official decision has been made regarding his future, most of us will remember the good times with him in charge, rather than the bad.

Karren Brady is clearly a very big fan of David Moyes and the work he has done during his time at West Ham.

The Hammers vice-chairman shared something Moyes did outside of football that really impressed her, when writing her regular column for the Sun:

“He found time to do his bit supporting the community in need. This is something that means so much to our club — doing everything from calling isolated and elderly supporters during lockdown, to working as a volunteer driver to deliver fruit and vegetables to residents in his hometown of Preston. A measure of the man behind the manager.”

It is true that Moyes is a good man outside of football.

Sure, he has grated on us all over the past few months with his stubbornness and arrogant, thinly-veiled jibes at the Hammers fans.

Overall though, it seems like David Moyes is a very good egg, judging by Karren Brady’s comments on him.
