Why Oliver Glasner was annoyed at Tyrick Mitchell during Wolves 1-3 Crystal Palace

Oliver Glasner was seen expressing some frustration towards Tyrick Mitchell during Saturday’s Premier League clash between Crystal Palace and Wolves.

The Eagles recorded a fifth win in six Premier League outings at Molineux, inspired by a wonderful opener from Michael Olise before yet another strike from Jean-Philippe Mateta doubled the scoreline.

Ebere Eze then sealed all three points in the second-half.

However, there was a moment in the 15th minute where Oliver Glasner was quite annoyed at Crystal Palace No.3 Tyrick Mitchell

Why 15th minute moment from Tyrick Mitchell frustrated Oliver Glasner

Early on at Molineux, Will Hughes was forced off the pitch with an apparent knee injury – following a collision with Matheus Cunha.

The Crystal Palace No.19 left the field before Glasner could make a substitution, and Wolves then proceeded to keep the ball for several minutes up against just ten men.

Understandably, the Austrian wanted the ball kicked out of play so he could bring Naouirou Ahamada on, and it seemed that would happen when Mitchell eventually regained possession.

However, the England international did not kick the ball out, and then lost possession almost immediately with a sloppy pass.

Crystal Palace legend Darren Ambrose – who was speaking on commentary duty for Premier Hub 3 – spotted the moment as well, saying: “Glasner looked a little bit frustrated with Tyrick Mitchell for not kicking the ball out there.”

The 49-year-old’s frustrations surely didn’t last long – however – as Olise then put us ahead with a majestic, curled strike in the 26th minute.

Crystal Palace – a team reborn

It is quite incredible how significantly – and how quickly – Glasner has transformed this team.

There is aggression all over the park – embodied by the tireless duo of Adam Wharton and Daniel Munoz – as well as a ruthless nature never before seen under Roy Hodgson.

Under the 76-year-old, when we rarely did go 1-0 up, that would usually be that in terms of attacking play as the Crystal Palace players sat back.

Contrastingly, at Molineux, we went for the kill, netting two in two minutes to take full advantage of our dominance over Gary O’Neil’s side.

Long may it continue.
