Crystal Palace fans are all saying the same thing about Naouirou Ahamada after 3-1 win

On a sunny day at Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace won their fifth game in six and Naouirou Ahamada has been much discussed after the game.

In the penultimate game of this season’s Premier League for Crystal Palace, it was another happy day for Oliver Glasner as he watched his side walk out 3-1 winners.

It was another excellent display from the Eagles, as Michael Olise stole all the headlines with a goal and an assist.

But another talking point from the game is that Will Hughes was withdrawn through injury after only 15 minutes.

This saw Naouirou Ahamada handed a massive opportunity, an opportunity which he failed to take as his only real contribution was a red card.

Now, fans have been reacting to his performance…

How Crystal Palace fans reacted to Naouirou Ahamada’s display vs Wolves

Despite not doing awfully, ultimately what fans will remember is his silly red card which is what had left all the fans disappointed.

One fan wasn’t amused as he wrote: “Ahamada with some poor choices. Very avoidable.”

“That Ahamada performance was funny as hell, not even that it was all bad but he played like it was a pickup game with mates at the local pitch”, wrote another.

“I think we’ve just seen why Ahamada doesn’t usually play for us. He’s shocking. Just had a poor game and then he does that”, another wrote.

While a final fan was laughing as he commented: “You can see why Ahamada doesn’t play”.

In fairness to Ahamada, his red card has likely impacted a lot of fans’ views as before the red he wasn’t awful.

One fan argued this: “Best performance from him today. Shame about the double yellow but I thought he was pretty good until then.”

A second added: “I enjoyed that Ahamada cameo genuinely there’s a player in there. Just two incredibly braindead yellow cards”.

When will Ahamada next play for Palace?

Getting sent off in the penultimate game of the season means that the Frenchman’s season is now over.

He’ll serve a one-game ban which will put him back in contention to play when the Premier League returns in August, whoever that might be against.

Something for him to ponder over this summer as ill-discipline can’t be a running feature of his game.

It’s a shame a decent outing was spoiled but lessons to be learned for the youngster.
