Report: The reason Michael Olise's agent's ban has been delayed spells bad news for Crystal Palace

The agent of Michael Olise has been handed a ban which is delayed until October, the reason why signals bad news for Crystal Palace.

For Oliver Glasner, this summer looks increasingly likely to see the inevitable departure of his starman, Michael Olise.

Olise has been the standout player for Crystal Palace this season when he’s been fit, although this hasn’t been often.

The 22-year-old has only made 18 appearances for Palace but in this time he’s scored 10 goals and assisted five.

Off the field though, there has been some controversy however, with The Telegraph reporting that the Frenchman’s agent has now been handed a six month ban.

This comes due to an illegal transfer clause which was inserted into his Reading contract, however the ban has been delayed until October. Now the reason has been revealed.

Why Olise’s agent’s ban been delayed

Despite the ban, the fact it’s been delayed until after the summer transfer window means a transfer move for Olise might still be on the cards.

The reason for the ban is along these similar lines as well, with this summer being described as a “critical juncture” for one of Glen Tweneboah’s clients, as per The Telegraph’s report.

It’s thought it could easily be relating to Olise considering the sheer amount of noise around his departure this summer and the fact there are several interested parties, all of which some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

The fact that the ban has been delayed does indicate that Palace should be worried over Olise’s future.

The latest in Olise’s exit from Crystal Palace

Of all the sides interested in Olise, it seems his destination is likely to be Manchester, with both the red and blue sides of the city interested.

However, recently there have been reports which point toward Olise favouring Man City, with Man United not being guaranteed the European football that Olise so desperately craves.

That being said, Olise is a boyhood United fan, and he could be tempted by the new project being formulated under Ineos.

Palace aren’t keen to sell the winger, but it’s thought that he would be allowed to go if a suitable offer arrived of at least £60m and it remains to be seen if that will happen.
