"We'll see": Oliver Glasner target pleased by Crystal Palace links, opens door to summer transfer

As the summer transfer window draws near, one Crystal Palace has spoken out over a potential Selhurst Park move.

Oliver Glasner will be licking his lips over how impressive his Crystal Palace side has become in practically no time at all.

After a few difficult opening weeks, the past six games have been undefeated including some incredible results like a 4-0 win over Manchester United.

But he won’t be content with this and rather it can be expected that Palace will be active this summer in the transfer window to strengthen further.

Now one player who was linked to Palace earlier this year has spoken out over a potential move.

Matthias Seidl speaks out on Selhurst Park move

After links earlier this year to the Austrian midfielder, Matthias Seidl, Palace are back among the teams rumoured to be eyeing a summer move.

A story reported by Heute explained that Palace are one of many clubs showing interest ahead of the summer window.

Seidl has acknowledged the rumours and even opened the door for a possible move.

“Of course, it’s cool to be associated with that – whether it’s true or not remains to be seen. I just try to do my best.

“If it’s good enough for the next step, we’ll see. But the present is Rapid,” Seidl said.

What role would Seidl have at Crystal Palace?

At 23, Seidl is a regular for Rapid Vienna and has scored five and assisted one in 31 games this season in the Austrian Bundesliga.

An attacking midfielder by trade, Seidl would likely be signed to provide some depth and support in behind the striker, although he doesn’t fit the profile Glasner has been utilising so effectively thus far.

There would also be a concern over whether Seidl is good enough for Premier League football given he isn’t exactly tearing the Austrian league apart.

This could suggest that he’s a name on the shortlist which may be best served staying there for now at least.
