What Harry Kane did after being presented with Arsenal shirt to sign

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has recently been handed an Arsenal shirt to sign which sparked a reaction from the England striker.

A full season has now gone by without Harry Kane playing in a Tottenham shirt following his move to Bayern Munich.

It is a move which is still yet to bear fruit for the England captain after he went yet another season without getting his hands on any silverware.

The same can be said for Spurs in their first campaign under Ange Postecoglou but progression can be seen at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Europa League football was secured on Sunday with the victory against Sheffield United as Bayern were only able to finish third in the Bundesliga.

However, the Tottenham record goalscorer has recently shown his loyalty to Spurs when presented with an Arsenal shirt to sign.

The 30-year-old’s reaction said it all as he was handed the shirt to sign after marking the end of his campaign for the German giants.

Tottenham ended the campaign with Heung-min Son as their top goalscorer with the South Korean picking up the responsibility following Kane’s exit.

Richarlison went into the season as the club’s main striker but injuries have seriously hindered his campaign.

How Postecoglou will have wished he could have had Kane’s goals this season with Spurs missing out on the top four by just two points.

And it seems the England captain still holds his loyalty to his boyhood club after being presented with an Arsenal shirt in a recent signing session.

Captured by the Fanatic’s Tik Tok account, Kane was surprised with an Arsenal away shirt to sign whilst working his way through a pile of Tottenham shirts.

“What is that? I’m not signing that! You’ve got the wrong shirt there,” Kane responded jokingly.

The England captain then scrunched up the shirt and chucked it away as he returned to signing Spurs shirts.

How many goals did Harry Kane score this season?

Although Bayern did not manage to get their hands on silverware for the first time in a very, very long time, Kane still did what he could.

The former Spurs man scored 44 times in his 45 appearances across all competitions and provided 12 assists.

Spurs fans will have an opportunity to provide both Kane and Eric Dier with a proper send off in August when Bayern travel to north London for a pre-season friendly.

That is not the only chance the Spurs players will have an opportunity to reunite with their former teammates as the two sides will meet before the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in South Korea.

And there could well be a third player heading from Spurs to Bayern this summer with Emerson Royal said to be of interest to the German giants.
