It has been reported that Manchester City will be demanded to pay £60 million to sign a certain Premier League player.

Manchester City have been linked with several players ahead of the summer transfer window of 2025.

Names like Lucas Paqueta, Bruno Guimaraes, Joshua Kimmich and Savio have been speculated with signing for City.

Man City will have to pay £60 million to sign 24-year-old player

According to The Telegraph, Wolves will demand Manchester City to fork out a £60 million fee to sign Pedro Neto in the summer.

The report states that apart from City, even Newcastle United are interested in securing the Portuguese international’s services.

Wolves believe that despite the 24-year-old’s constant injury problems, the demand for his signature will remain high.

As a result, Gary O’Neil’s side is ready to demand a fee that correlates with the former Braga winger’s quality, who scared in his side’s 2-1 win against the Sky Blues this season.

In April, it was claimed that Wolves’ valuation of £80 million for Pedro Neto was considered “excessive” by Manchester City.

Whether they feel £60 million is a suitable fee for Neto will be interesting to see in the summer.

Pedro Neto might be worth such an outlay from Pep Guardiola’s side

In our view, paying a fee of £60 million might turn out to be an astute long-term investment from Manchester City on Pedro Neto.

The speedster, hailed as “incredible” by Gary O’Neil via BBC Sport has started just 18 games in the Premier League this season.

As a result, it would be understandable if City hesitated to pay as much as £60 million to sign Pedro Neto.

But simultaneously, with Neto being only 24 and working under Guardiola, he could develop into a world-class winger at the Etihad Stadium over time.

In addition, Pedro Neto will be able to enter his peak years as a player at Manchester City as well.

With the likes of Jeremy Doku, Bernardo Silva, Oscar Bobb and Phil Foden able to play on the right flank, the injury-prone wideman could be adequately rested at the club as well.

If Neto’s fitness improves, he has shown that he is one of the most exciting wide forwards in the league and not just City but many clubs could do with a player of his potential.
