"Scary": Ian Wright says "unstoppable" Crystal Palace player is finally fulfilling potential

The season is now over for Crystal Palace and several players have become stars over the past few months and Ian Wright is impressed.

Oliver Glasner‘s revolution of the Eagles reached the finale of its first season this past weekend and ended in superb style with a 5-0 battering of Aston Villa.

This win saw Jean-Philippe Mateta score a hattrick and take the match ball home with an assist also being made. Meanwhile, Eberechi Eze scored a brace and assisted one as the pair were on fire.

Now, Ian Wright has labelled one of the Crystal Palace superstars as ‘unstoppable’ and explained how he’s finally reached his potential.

Ian Wright has a lot to say about Eberechi Eze

Speaking on Match of the Day, former Palace star and pundit, Wright, has been discussing Eze and particularly just how good he’s been.

“He’s got it now, he’s realised he’s very much ready for this”, Wright began to explain.

“Eze with this much time and space, great power, great direction. Great run from Eze who was just unstoppable, unplayable.”

Wright then continued to explain just how scary the Palace frontline might be next season if Steve Parish is able to keep them all together.

“When you’ve got a striker like that and players like [Michael] Olise and Eze around him, fantastic Palace, fantastic.

“They’re scary, if they can keep them together, they’ll cause a lot of problems next season. Wow.”

Palace must keep at least two of the three attacking superstars

This summer, it’s expected that Palace will have to sell as several players have interest arriving from Europe’s biggest and richest clubs.

Mateta has interest from both Napoli and Juventus this summer, two clubs who six months ago wouldn’t have glanced twice at the 26-year-old.

Olise also has substantial interest with Manchester United increasingly linked with singing the Frenchman.

Finally, Eze has been linked with moves elsewhere too including Manchester City and Spurs.

But in order to progress and keep along the impressive lines that Palace have done so far under Glasner, keeping at least two of this trio will be vital this summer.
