It has been reported that Kevin De Bruyne has spoken to one club amid rumours that he could leave Manchester City.

On Tuesday, it was claimed that De Bruyne is set to play his final season in a City shirt in the 2024/2025 campaign. After the season comes to an end, it was speculated that he will head to the MLS (Major League Soccer).

De Bruyne has spoken to one club amid Man City exit rumours

It was first revealed by HITC News’ transfer expert Graeme Bailey that San Diego FC are keen to sign Kevin De Bruyne.

This revelation was also reported by The Athletic, as it is believed that De Bruyne’s camp have already spoken to San Diego FC.

The £54.5 million man is thought to be interested in playing in San Diego if he were to make the move to the United States.

However, it has been specified that a move to the club is nowhere near imminent for the Manchester City legend.

The dealings have only gone as far as a conversation between the midfield maestro’s camp and San Diego FC, who will enter the MLS next season.

De Bruyne could assess plans to join San Diego FC or other clubs next season

In our view, Manchester City have nothing to worry about as Kevin De Bruyne, 32, is only assessing his options by speaking to San Diego FC.

The Belgian has suffered various injuries since his time at City and there could be a possibility that his body might forbid him from playing top-level football for many more years.

But next season, if the treble-winner is playing at the peak of his powers, both he and Manchester City might decide that the best course of action is for him to prolong his stay at the club.

Otherwise, De Bruyne and the Sky Blues could decide to part ways and come to the realisation that all good things come to an end — with the player potentially considering San Diego FC or other clubs.
