‘Definitely’: Journalist says £60m player isn’t signing for Arsenal this summer

Arsenal are on the hunt for a new striker this summer.

The Gunners need a new centre-forward through the door, and one player they’re said to be very keen on is Alexander Isak.

Indeed, it has been stated that Isak is the one player Arsenal want to sign above anybody else this summer.

However, according to Ben Jacobs, speaking on The Fully Loaded Transfer Show, Isak won’t be going anywhere this summer.

The journalist says he’s positive that Isak won’t be sold this summer.

Alexander Isak is going nowhere

Jacobs shared what he knows about the £60m man.

“For the right offer they will sell and there are a few players, Wilson and Almiron, who, if you’re not going to sell Guimaraes or Isak, and the latter is untouchable, if the former didn’t have a release clause that’s a different story,” Jacobs said.

“Isak definitely, I’m positive that Isak won’t be sold, Arsenal are interested, they were before he joined Newcastle, but there is nothing more than that, Guimaraes, you can never say never because he has a release clause,”

Newcastle right to keep Isak

While Arsenal sniffing around Isak may have caused a few conversations at Newcastle, the Magpies are right to keep hold of their star striker.

Indeed, while Isak would raise a massive amount of money at Newcastle, it’s not ridiculous to suggest that he’s irreplaceable at St James’ Park.

Off the back of scoring 21 Premier League goals last season, it’s fair to say that Isak is one of the best strikers in the world, and, in all honesty, there may not be another attacker on the market who is as good or as effective.

Newcastle have an absolute gem on their hands here, and they should be doing all they can to keep hold of him.
