'Here we go expected soon': Fabrizio Romano says West Ham are now closing in on 'all-action' signing

West Ham United haven’t wasted any time in pursuing players following the end of the Premier League season.

Just a few days ago, the Hammers were said to be closing in on Flamengo defender Fabricio Bruno, although that deal appears to have stalled.

However, West Ham are now seemingly edging towards the signing of another Brazilian talent.

In recent days, speculation has intensified regarding the Hammers and Palmeiras playmaker Luis Guilherme.

For instance, UOL recently claimed that the Hammers were advancing in talks over signing the 18-year-old.

Now, Fabrizio Romano has provided an exciting update which suggests West Ham are on the home straight regarding the signing of Guilherme.

What has Fabrizio Romano said about West Ham and Luis Guilherme transfer talks?

The transfer insider says he expects a “here we go” soon, and has also reported on the financials of the deal, with the Hammers having submitted a bid for an initial £25.5million plus sell-on clause.

Romano wrote on X: “West Ham are closing in on deal to sign Brazilian talent Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras!

“Exclusive details of the official bid submitted: €30m fixed fee plus 20% sell-on clause. Negotiations at the final stages, here we go expected soon.”

West Ham closing in on Luis Guilherme signing

This is great news for Hammers fans. Their club has been very proactive in the market since the season finished, and it looks as though they could soon be getting a signing on board.

Guilherme is a top talent who has already made 44 competitive appearances for Palmeiras despite being just 18 years of age.

In 2022, Football Talent Scout‘s Jacek Kulig wrote an in-depth scouting report about the West Ham target, giving him a 9 out of 10 potential rating.

Kulig deemed him an “all-action and energetic” playmaker who is “extremely dangerous on the counter” and a “spectacular dribbler.

Hopefully it won’t be long before we get the “here we go”, after which it’ll just be a case of waiting for the official announcements.
