Report: Arsenal could now have a chance to sign striker who is even quicker than Alexander Isak

Arsenal continue to be linked with new strikers heading into the summer transfer window.

The transfer window opens in a couple of weeks, and as situations continue to evolve, Arsenal continue to monitor striking options.

Victor Osimhen is one player the Gunners have long-been linked with, and according to Il Mattino in Italy, the door could now be open for Arsenal to sign Osimhen.

Arsenal could have a chance to sign Victor Osimhen

According to Il Mattino, Arsenal have now re-entered the race to sign Victor Osimhen.

According to this report, Chelsea are lagging behind in this race due to ongoing unresolved financial issues, and that has alerted Arsenal to Osimhen’s availability once again and they’re said to be ready to relaunch an attempt to sign Osimhen.

A fee in excess of £100m has been touted, and while that is a stretch, we saw last summer with the Declan Rice deal that Arsenal can push the boat out that far.

Osimhen could take Arsenal to the next level

Victor Osimhen could be just what the doctor ordered at Arsenal.

The Nigerian excels in almost every area of the game, he’s clinical, he’s fast, he’s great in the air and he can also pick a pass – albeit he’s not the second-coming of Roberto Firmino in that regard.

Osimhen’s main attribute is undoubtedly his physicality, he’s incredible when it comes to beating defenders for pure speed – in fact, according to The Speeds Database, he’s one of the quickest strikers in Europe – even faster than Alexander Isak, another player who has been linked to Arsenal as of late.

Even neutrals would love to see Osimhen in the Premier League, and perhaps a move to Arsenal could be on the cards for the Napoli striker this summer.

PSG have previously been named as favourites, but Arsenal could now make a move.

The Gunners could make the biggest signing of the summer if they manage to pull this one off.
