Report: Chelsea convinced they can get signing of 'special' Premier League player over the line very soon

Chelsea will be eager to strengthen their ranks further this summer and build on the foundations they’ve put in place.

The Blues endured a difficult season last time out, but rallied round late on to secure a sixth-placed finish and Europa Conference League qualification.

With Enzo Maresca now in charge at Chelsea, another new era beckons, and the Italian will be eager to hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge.

Now, according to CaughtOffside, the Blues are convinced they can get the signing of a “special” Premier League player over the line soon.

The report claims Chelsea have made an official offer to Tosin Adarabioyo and discussions between player and club progressing well.

In recent days, the Fulham player – whose contract expires soon – has reportedly also been approached by Newcastle United and by Manchester United.

However, Chelsea are said to be convinced that they can finalise the deal for Adarabioyo, and the player’s decision is expected very shortly.

Who is Chelsea target Tosin Adarabioyo?

Tosin Adarabioyo is one of the most highly sought-after free agents in the market at present, having impressed for Fulham in recent years.

He has made 132 appearances for the Cottagers since joining in 2020, also registering five goals and two assists in the process.

At 26 years of age, Adarabioyo is entering his prime as a defender. The 6ft 5in ace is also strong, fast and physically imposing.

For such a ‘special’ player to be available on a free transfer, it’s no surprise that so many clubs are after him.

It looks as though Chelsea are in a great position to get a deal over the line for Adarabioyo, so let’s see how things develop in the coming days.
