Report: When Chelsea could sign Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United this summer

One player who Chelsea are currently being linked with is Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville.

Crysencio Summerville looks likely to leave Leeds following their failure to win promotion back to the Premier League this season.

It has been claimed that Chelsea and Liverpool are the two frontrunners to sign the 22-year-old.

While Leeds were unable to clinch promotion, Summerville still had an excellent campaign at Elland Road.

In total, he scored 20 goals and provided nine assists in 46 Championship appearances.

Chelsea could sign Crysencio Summerville very soon

Chelsea are already closing in on their first signing.

According to the reliable Fabrizio Romano, Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo is set to join the club on a free transfer.

It would now not be a shock to see Summerville link up with Adarabioyo at Stamford Bridge.

As per the Daily Mirror, Chelsea are one of the Dutchman’s admirers and he could be sold before June 30 when Leeds will submit their financial records.

Summerville, then, is certainly a name to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.

Who could Crysencio Summerville replace at Chelsea?

Chelsea already have quite a few options for their left flank, so if Summerville arrives, someone may have to make way.

Mykhailo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling and Christopher Nkunku have all played there this season.

Sterling turns 30 this year and has not really met expectations following his arrival from Manchester City in 2022.

The England international only scored eight goals in 31 Premier League appearances this term. For someone who was such an elite forward at his former club, you want more than that.

It would not be a surprise, then, if Sterling was sacrificed to facilitate the arrival of Summerville at Chelsea this summer.

Reported interest from other clubs, though, means it is not a guarantee that Chelsea will sign the former Feyenoord man when the transfer window opens later this month.
