Edinburgh, Grimsthorpe and Holt are the destinations for Fenland Running Club members

A small group of Fenland Running Club members were out and about over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Jac Richards and Simon Hamilton took on the Grim Reaper 10-mile race at Grimsthorpe Castle.

Lovely weather and a beautiful trail route around the Grimsthorpe countryside made for a tough, but enjoyable race for the 119 finishers.

Simon Hamilton finished tenth overall and first in his age category, recording 1:18:12.

Jac Richards was 53rd in a time of 1:43:20.

On Sunday, Martin Jennings joined in with the Edinburgh Marathon Festival by taking on the half marathon distance.

The weather conditions were very challenging with heavy rain and strong wind.

The route starts in the city and winds downhill onto the coast before doubling back to finish in Musselburgh.

Jennings put on a fantastic performance and finished a very impressive 116th out of a massive field of nearly 11,500 finishers in an inspiring time of 1:22:28.

Also on Sunday, Malcolm Tuff headed off to Holt in Norfolk where the weather made for a challenging Holt 10k which took place on a mixture of muddy hill and road sections.

Tuff finished in a stunning 37:45 giving him 27th place out of 468 finishers. Both Jennings and Tuff came second in their age categories.
