Tottenham fans left furious after seeing 'disgusting' price of their new home kit

Tottenham Hotspur have officially launched their new home kit for the 2024/25 season.

Spurs’ kit for next season is an almost blank canvas white, accompanied by a navy collar trim and detailing on the sleeves.

The design is remarkably similar to Tottenham’s home shirt from the 2005/06 campaign, which was made by Kappa when the club was sponsored by Thompson.

While the new kit design has mostly gone down well with supporters, the price has received less positive reviews.

The stadium home shirt is priced at £85 while the ‘elite’ version will be sold for a whopping £125 on Tottenham’s official website.

Tottenham fans react to home kit price

Following the official launch of the new home kit, Tottenham fans took to social media to express their frustrations over the pricing.

One supporter labelled the prices as ‘outrageous’ while another simply added: “Disgusting.”

“Disgusting from the club, yet again,” another agreed.

“Should never be that kind of price, but that’s the new normal in 2024,” one fan wrote on X.

Another said: “The price of the kits has been absolutely disgusting for a while now. Especially as they bring out three new ones every season!!!”

Some supporters were keen to point out that Nike set the prices of the kits, rather than the club.

Kit prices on the rise

The pricing of football shirts has been on the rise for some time now and it isn’t exclusive to Tottenham.

Just last year it was revealed that the pricing of Premier League shirts had risen by 10 per cent for the 2022-23 season.

Arsenal and Manchester United both bumped their pricing up from £70 to £80 last season.

It’s easy to understand why fans are frustrated with rising prices when you consider the fact that Tottenham sold their official home shirt for just £29.99 back in 1992/93.
