The transfer window is upon us, and Tottenham are being linked with some very exciting players.
Indeed, it seems as though Ange Postecoglou was serious when he said he wants to change things at Tottenham and it looks like this could be a very exciting transfer window.
Speaking on The Done Deal Show, Ben Jacobs has been discussing what Tottenham could do this summer, and he’s responded to a question about Eberechi Eze potentially joining Spurs.
According to Jacobs, Eze to Tottenham is a possible deal this summer, while Santiago Gimenez is also said to be a player Spurs are keen on.
Eberechi Eze to Tottenham is possible
Jacobs spoke about the £60m man and a potential move to Spurs.
“Ben is there any chance of Eze to Spurs?” Jacobs was asked.
“It’s possible. I think Eze is a name on the market that Tottenham have looked at. Tottenham will also be looking for a traditional striker. Santi Gimenez is on their list, Jonathan David was an old target under Fabio Paratici, but there’s no indication they’ll be moving for him now,” Jacobs said.
Eze would suit Spurs perfectly
Eberechi Eze could be absolutely perfect for Tottenham.
Spurs have always been at their best when they have a maverick midfield talent running the show a la Paul Gascoigne, Glenn Hoddle or Rafael van der Vaart.
Eze could be the modern incarnation of those players, and that is an exciting prospect.
Of course, getting Eze out of Palace won’t be easy. After all, Palace will want to keep at least one of their key players this summer, and with rumours around Michael Olise and Marc Guehi continuing to do the rounds, Eze may be the player the Eagles fight hardest to keep hold of.
Eze would be brilliant for Spurs, but it won’t be easy for Ange Postecoglou’s side to get this deal done.
