Tottenham are pushing to sign ‘devastating’ striker, he’ll cost around £25m

Tottenham Hotspur’s search for a new forward is ramping up ahead of the summer transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou looks set to bolster his frontline over the coming weeks as he prepares for his second season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs have already been linked with moves for a host of options, including the likes of Brentford’s Ivan Toney, Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez and Bournemouth star Dominic Solanke.

There could be movement when it comes to Tottenham’s own forward players after The Spurs News were told last month that offers for Richarlison could be considered.

Troy Parrott could also head out the door after a brilliant season on loan at Excelsior in the Netherlands and with Postecoglou evidently keen to bring in a new No.9, a fresh target for the Aussie boss has emerged.

Tottenham ‘pushing’ for Youssef En-Nesyri signing

Youssef En-Nesyri is the latest striker to be linked with a summer switch to north London.

According to Carrusel Deportivo, there has been plenty of movement around the Moroccan star’s future in recent days.

Tottenham are now ‘pushing’ to land 27-year-old, with Sevilla looking for a fee worth around 30 million euros [£25.5 million].

En-Nesyri and Tottenham’s strikers compared

Many will remember En-Nesyri’s exceptional World Cup campaign back in 2022. The Sevilla striker starred for Morocco as they reached a semi-final for the first time in the country’s history.

Described as a ‘devastating’ forward, En-Nesyri enjoyed a fine campaign in Spain last time out.

Having netted 20 goals in 41 appearances, he outscored both Heung-min Son and Richarlison, who managed 17 and 12 respectively.

Yet, it would be a surprise to see En-Nesyri head to Hotspur Way this summer. Given the host of options Spurs have been linked with, you can’t help but feel this is a move that would underwhelm plenty of supporters.
