Nottingham Forest fans are now desperate to see a 2019 Sabri Lamouchi signing return to the City Ground after a rumour emerged from France.
The Garibaldi have lost some fantastic players in recent years, such as Brennan Johnson, Matty Cash, Ben Brereton Diaz, Britt Assombalonga and Michail Antonio – to name a handful – although supporters now want to see someone who actually forced his way out of the City Ground return.

Nottingham Forest fans demand Brice Samba return
After a rumour emerged from France, Nottingham Forest fans are now demanding the return of Brice Samba – who Sabri Lamouchi signed from Caen back in August 2019.
Fans may recall the goalkeeper decided to leave immediately after promotion was secured in 2022, telling L’Equipe that he felt he had unfinished business in France.
Now, a story from French news outlet La Voix Du Nord claims that the France international is likely to leave RC Lens this summer as the Ligue 1 outfit need to make sales.
Furthermore, a comment from journalist Marwan Belkacem mentions that – while Samba has been offered to Marseille – a move abroad cannot be ruled out, especially as the Premier League is where the money is nowadays.
Neither source mention what sort of transfer fee RC Lens would accept for the 30-year-old this summer, but with Nottingham Forest on the hunt to sign a new goalkeeper, fans have understandably jumped all over this rumour.
One fan simply said “get it done” after hearing that Samba is available this summer.
Another supporter even said they would do “anything” to have the Linzolo-born glovesman back at the City Ground.
Elsewhere, two other fans stressed that this would not just be a signing for the sake of sentiment, but a genuinely necessary addition to Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.
Last but not least, these two supporters made it very clear that they view this signing as a no-brainer.
One fan even said they would be “really disappointed” if Samba were to move elsewhere – emphasising just how desperate Nottingham Forest supporters are to be reunited with Samba this summer.
Alternative goalkeeping options
If a deal to bring Samba back fails to materialise, there are some other glovesman Nottingham Forest have been linked with.
Reports in South America state that the Reds have made contact with Gil Vicente over a deal to sign Brazilian goalkeeper Andrew.
Furthermore, a story from BILD in Germany claimed that Nottingham Forest have also enquired about Bayern Munich No.18 Daniel Peretz.
