‘In the coming days’: Chelsea to meet representatives of ‘special’ player this week – journalist

Chelsea are reportedly set to meet the representatives of one top transfer target this week in order to push towards securing a big deal this summer.

The Blues are set to spend big again in this transfer window as they look to give adequate backing to yet another new manager at Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Maresca has been announced as the new head coach for the upcoming season, and backing will be required in order to allow him to challenge at the top end of the table again.

They already look set to make their first addition of the summer very soon, with it being reported that everything is in place for Tosin Adarabioyo to join the club on a free transfer.

However, they are reportedly keen to splash the clash too, and ‘Academy Scoop’ on Twitter has stated that the Blues are looking to push in the coming days towards a deal for Crystal Palace star Michael Olise.

Chelsea pushing for Olise talks this week

They said: “Chelsea will meet with Michael Olise’s representatives in the coming days with a view to proactively concluding a deal. The London Club are taking aggressive measures to ensure they beat Manchester United to the Frenchman’s signing – their efforts aided by Olise’s pre-existing relationship with Chelsea recruitment specialist Joe Shields.”

Blues fans will be delighted if the club are taking measures to get their business done quickly this summer, allowing Maresca the longest possible pre-season to get to grips with his new squad.

Olise managed to overcome injuries to still contribute massively last season, and has already been described as a ‘special talent’ by former manager Patrick Vieira.

The new boss’ desire to utilise his wide players that he showed at Leicester last season suggests that a new winger will be huge for the Blues.

Based on those who featured in the top flight last season, there aren’t many better out there than Olise.
