Report: Chelsea considering signing ‘lively’ Premier League star, Pochettino wanted him in January

Reports have claimed that Chelsea could be about to return to one of their former targets in the upcoming transfer window.

It has been stated that it could well be another busy summer at Stamford Bridge, as the club look to give the best possible backing to their new manager.

Enzo Maresca was announced as the replacement for Mauricio Pochettino, with the length of his contract suggesting that they have a lot of faith in him to deliver the job.

One position that will need work done to it is defence, and they are reportedly set to announce the addition of Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer.

Another position they have reportedly been linked with strengthening is up front, and they have reportedly ended their interest in former number one target Victor Osimhen.

Chelsea considering Jhon Duran

They considered adding to their options back in January, and one of the names who came to the front of thinking was Jhon Duran.

Despite the fact he does not have a large amount of Premier League goals to his name, he has impressed in his limited minutes so far. Gary Neville described him as ‘lively’ after watching him.

Now, The Athletic have claimed that the Blues remain interested in his services, although will face competition from a number of clubs around the world for his signature.

Chelsea interested in Benjamin Sesko

Any addition up top needs to be made with certainty that it will not play a part in Nicolas Jackson’s development being stunted.

The Senegal international had an impressive first campaign at the club, and what he brings to the attack as a whole is very difficult to replace.

Another name they have already been linked with is Benjamin Sesko, however he is also of interest to Arsenal, who are apparently his preferred option if he was to move to the Premier League this summer.
