'Main target': London club are 'progressing well' with move to sign Chelsea defender - journalist

One Chelsea player is attracting some strong interest this summer from London and Premier League rivals Fulham.

It’s been claimed that the west London neighbours are in discussions about the future of a Blues defender.

Interestingly, alternative reports suggest that Tosin Adarabioyo will swap Fulham colours for a Chelsea shirt next season.

Fulham confirmed via their official website on Wednesday that 26-year-old centre-back Adarabioyo is leaving Craven Cottage at the end of June when his deal expires.

The Daily Mail claims that Adarabioyo has been undergoing medicals on Tuesday with Chelsea ahead of a move to Stamford Bridge on a free transfer.

There’s suggestions that someone could be moving in the opposite direction in a separate deal, though.

Fulham making progress in move to sign Chelsea player

Journalist Rudy Galetti has now claimed via X that Fulham are “progressing well” with their talks to sign Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah.

It is explained that the 24-year-old Blues defender is a ‘main target’ for Fulham this summer.

Apparently, Chelsea could accept an offer in the region of £21m-£26m for their centre-back.

Trevoh Chalobah would shine at Fulham

The Chelsea Chronicle is confident predicting that Chalobah would immediately be one of Fulham’s best defenders next season if he moves to Craven Cottage.

The young centre-half, who can also cover at right-back, is such a consistent figure in Chelsea’s backline whenever he plays.

Unfortunately, his sale would generate pure profit on the balance sheet because he’s an academy graduate.

He shouldn’t be allowed to leave judging it solely on football reasons, but there’s the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules to comply with.
