Reese's new super-size Jumbo cup is like nothing you've seen before

If you’ve ever been chowing down on some Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups only to be left hungry and unsatisfied, then you’ll be pleased to learn that the brand has heard your cries and answered with a jumbo edition of their popular chocolate.

As of late, fast food and snack companies seem to be doing away with healthy options and placing all of their chips in the junk food bin. Just recently, we had Subway’s launch of footlong Sidekicks, followed by a new version of Pringles.

Reese’s have a new size, the jumbo

On Tuesday, Hershey made the shocking announcement that they would be upgrading their beloved Peanut Butter Cups with a brand new size.

Though the brand has released larger variations of its Peanut Butter products before, the jumbo variety is four times that of the Kingsize cups. In simpler terms, that means consuming one of these cups is the same as a whole pack of Kingsize.

Each cup is technically three servings, with each serving equalling 130 calories. If you’re not great with maths or are avoiding calculating how many calories are in the Jumbo Cup, then it’s 390 calories. For reference, that’s just 100 calories less than a Big Mac or 50 less than a Dairy Queen Chili Cheese Dog.

“There’s nothing quite like our iconic combination of chocolate and classic REESE’S peanut butter, so we’re making REESE’S fans dreams come true by quadrupling the size of our fan-favorite King Size Peanut Butter Cups,” said Melissa Blette, REESE’S senior brand manager.

“We’ve seen the passion that fans have for the brand, and we’re excited to bring a new, larger cup for them to continue enjoying the chocolate and peanut butter goodness that only REESE’S peanut butter cups can provide.”

The jumbo Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are available at retailers this summer, and some customers on social media have already spotted them at sites like Walgreens.

Fans are over the moon and ignoring the caloric content

As is the case with most fast food options, if you make it bigger, more people are going to want to dig in. Reese’s clearly got the message as they’ve already worked their customers into a feral hungry rampage.

On Instagram, one person exclaimed: “Dang!! I’d have to work out for an hour to burn that off!”

“I think I like the ratio in the minis best. I can’t remember the last time I had a Reese’s and now need one asap,” another person wrote.

A third said: “I thought to myself: ‘Self, I could crush 10 of these!!’ Then, I showed my wife this video and she reminded me that I’m ’40, not 14′ — and my stomach would literally explode if I were to do that.”
