Dele Alli now reacts after news coming out of Tottenham yesterday

Dele Alli and many others have reacted after one player confirmed that he is leaving Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Spurs are gearing up for a busy transfer window where Ange Postecoglou is expected to bring in a few new players. Timo Werner has already arrived on another loan deal, but there will be others.

Before that happens, Tottenham need to move some of their current players on, and five of them have been released from their contracts.

One of those five has now sent a heartfelt message following the confirmation of his departure.

Dele Alli reacts after Ryan Sessgnon confirms he’s leaving Tottenham

Tottenham signed Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham in the summer of 2019, when he was still a teenager.

The Englishman was viewed by many in the game as an exceptional talent. Spurs received a ton of praise for securing his signature back then.

However, it has to be said that things haven’t worked out for Sessegnon at Tottenham.

The 24-year-old has been at Spurs for five years, but he only managed to make 57 appearances. His record in those games read three goals and four assists.

After a bunch of injury issues, it became clear that Sessegnon was going to have no future at Tottenham.

On Wednesday, Spurs announced that they have decided to release the Englishman at the end of his contract in July.

Sessesgnon took to Instagram to bid an emotional farewell to Tottenham supporters, teammates and staff for everything they’ve done over the last five years.

The former Fulham man received a lot of love in the comments below his post.

Dele Alli replied with a heart emoji, while Dane Scarlett wrote: “Good luck brother!” Emerson Royal and Manor Solomon also wished him well.

Tottenham have released four other players

It’s that time of the year for players when they learn their fate, and unfortunately for many, they have been released by their respective clubs.

Sessegnon was shown the door by Tottenham, but he isn’t the only Spurs player whose contract will not be renewed by the club.

Tottenham confirmed on Wednesday that Ivan Perisic, Eric Dier, Japhet Tanganga and Charlie Sayers have all been allowed to leave Tottenham as well.

Dier will be at Bayern Munich next season, while Perisic has returned home to Croatia where he will play for Hajduk Split in the 2024/25 campaign.

It’s still unclear where Tanganga and Sessegnon will end up.
