Report: 'Incredible' attacker Leeds want has been added to the transfer list and is available for £12.75m

Leeds United have been linked with a surprise move for a Bundesliga attacker this month and his club are desperate to sell him, requesting a fee of £12.75m this summer.

The club’s chairman Paraag Marathe has already admitted that Leeds will have to sell player this summer in order to cope with the huge £190m owed in player transfers, but replacements will also be needed.

Leeds are likely to cash on players like Crysencio Summerville, Willy Gnonto and others, with Archie Gray and Ilia Gruev also attracting interest ahead of the summer window but they are crucial players at Leeds.

Daniel Farke cannot simply sell them without any sort of replacements. With Summerville and Gnonto likely to go, and Jaidon Anthony returning to Bournemouth, one or two wingers must be brought in.

Leeds are now being linked with a 25-year-old Bundesliga winger but face plenty of competition from the likes of Fulham, Villarreal, Lens and Auxerre to land the DR Congo star before the start of next season.

Bundesliga club requesting £12.75m for new Leeds target Silas

It emerged this week that Leeds were one of the five clubs after Stuttgart winger Silas and a report now from Suedwest24 give a little bit more information from Stuttgart’s point of view on a possible departure.

They report the Stuttgart board are keen to sell Silas given he has been a bit of a fringe player during the 2023-24 season. He started just nine of 30 appearances, but still managed to have a hand in 13 goals.

Indeed, they have decided to cash in on the winger and therefore placed him on the transfer list. But interested parties must pay £12.75m to get him, more than the original fee claimed of around £8.5m.

Play-off final defeat may see Leeds miss out on ‘incredible’ Silas

Described as “incredible” by former Stuttgart manager Pellegrino Matarazzo, Silas does seem as though he will be off in the coming weeks and months given he is struggling to get a start with the German club.

Bags of speed, an eye for goal and the ability to create, Silas produced impressive numbers in Germany’s top tier last season despite hardly getting a solid run from the start in this impressive Stuttgart side.

That form combined with his lack of game time is enough to suggest he would impress in other top-tier leagues across Europe and that places the likes of Fulham, Villarreal and Lens ahead in the race for Silas.
