Chelsea are now being linked with another new target during their search to sign a striker this summer.
The transfer rumour mill suggests that the Blues want a new No 9 next season.
For example, The Athletic has claimed that Chelsea are focusing on a move for RB Leipzig frontman Benjamin Sesko.
Elsewhere, Goal reports that Chelsea have made contact with Fulham to ask about the situation of their striker Rodrigo Muniz.
It’s now been claimed that Enzo Maresca’s side are monitoring another Premier League forward.

The Daily Mail claims on Thursday morning that Chelsea are monitoring developments with Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin as they assess attacking targets.
It is explained that the Blues are keen on Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, whose release clause is around £59.5m.
Apparently, Calvert-Lewin would be a much cheaper alternative for Chelsea.
The report adds that Everton have offered their English centre-forward a new contract at Goodison Park, but Chelsea are one of several Premier League clubs circling in the background weighing up if he’s worth a gamble.
Should Blues ramp up interest in Dominic Calvert-Lewin?
Regardless of his price, Calvert-Lewin is not the right profile to bring to Stamford Bridge this summer.
The Chelsea Chronicle would be bitterly disappointed if the Everton attacker joins and competes with Nicolas Jackson for the No 9 spot next season.
When he’s fit and firing, Calvert-Lewin is a very good Premier League striker. He’s quick, strong and dominant in the air. Plus, despite lots of injuries in his career, he played 38 times across all competitions last season.
Carlo Ancelotti, who previously coached Calvert Lewin at Goodison Park, described him as “fantastic” back in 2021 (Everton’s official website).
The striker scored an impressive 29 goals in 60 games under Ancelotti’s management. However, 54 goals in 213 Premier League appearances is a better indication of him as a goalscorer.
While Calvert-Lewin has real quality on his day, he’s not the type of player Chelsea should go near.
