What Raheem Sterling's camp are now saying about him potentially joining Mourinho at Fenerbahce - journalist

Raheem Sterling’s representatives have now responded to the possibility of the winger leaving Chelsea to join Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce.

Since being appointed Fenerbahce boss, Mourinho has been linked with a few of his former players, including Son Heung-min at Tottenham Hotspur.

Part of Mourinho’s allure to the Turkish club will have been his pull, one of the most famous and decorated managers in football.

And although he never crossed paths with Mourinho at Chelsea, Raheem Sterling has now been linked with a move to Fenerbahce.

Sterling endured another difficult season at Stamford Bridge, explaining why he’s not even in the conversation to add to his 82 England caps.

It remains to be seen if Enzo Maresca has a resurrection plan prepared for Sterling, but fans will probably imagine his priorities will be elsewhere.

It was recently reported that Todd Boehly was ready for Chelsea to sell Sterling, a 29-year-old who is not befitting of his lofty wages.

And with that in mind, Sterling’s camp has now responded to these recent rumours.

Raheem Sterling hasn’t spoke to Fenerbahce and is not interested in move

Journalist Kieran Gill shared an update on the situation on X, stating that he had been in contact with Sterling’s people.

And the information was very clear – Sterling hasn’t spoken to Fenerbahce and has no interest in joining the Turkish side.

Gill shared: “Spoken to Raheem Sterling camp re Fenerbahce rumours – been no approach nor conversation around a move to Turkey. Furthermore, no interest from Sterling.”

Of course, those who have perhaps grown frustrated with Sterling at Chelsea may believe a more attractive proposition will arrive, but with a contract until 2027, the 29-year-old may be in no rush to leave.

Sterling, who has now played for Chelsea on 81 occasions, scoring 19 goals and providing 12 assists, reportedly earns around £325k-a-week (Capology).

By the same source, Reece James is second with £250k-a-week and Welsey Fofana and Ben Chilwell are both tied in third at £200k-a-week.

Of course, none of those four enjoyed the season they would have hoped under Mauricio Pochettino, predominantly because of injury in the case of James, Fofana and Chilwell.

But with the trio back fit, Maresca will have a strong squad to choose from.

All that being said, TBR can now reveal what Julian Alvarez has been saying to Man City amid links to Chelsea.
