Report: Chelsea weigh up bid for 'amazing' £63m PL player, he'll soon meet with his club to discuss future

Chelsea are considering making a move for one of their transfer targets in the next few days.

Now that Enzo Maresca has been confirmed as Chelsea’s head coach, the full focus can be on the upcoming summer transfer window. And fresh claims suggest they could soon bid for a Premier League attacker.

First of all, it looks like the Blues are on the verge of completing their first signing to bolster the defence.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims via X that centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo has signed a four-year deal at Stamford Bridge ahead of his move to Chelsea on a free transfer.

It’s now claimed elsewhere that Chelsea’s attention could next turn towards a forward.

Chelsea consider transfer bid

According to TyC Sports, Chelsea are one of three clubs interested in signing Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez this summer.

It is understood that Chelsea is considering making an offer in the coming days for the 24-year-old Premier League star.

The report adds that Atletico Madrid have clear interest in Alvarez. Also, Paris Saint-Germain like the Man City forward.

Apparently, Man City would demand $80m (£63m) for the Argentine striker.

It is believed that the World Cup winner will soon sit down for talks with Man City chiefs about his future.

This comes after journalist Uriel Iugt recently stated on X that Chelsea are one of the clubs who are monitoring Man City’s Alvarez.

Julian Alvarez is a fantastic target

If Chelsea win the race for Alvarez, it will be a serious statement in the summer transfer window.

The centre-forward plays second fiddle to Erling Haaland at the Etihad Stadium, but he shows the quality of a top-quality player whenever he’s on the pitch.

The Chelsea Chronicle thinks Man City’s frontman would be a phenomenal addition at Stamford Bridge.

Described as “amazing” by Pep Guardiola via TNT Sports, Alvarez is too good not to be starting week in week out.
