‘Wouldn’t surprise me’: Journalist says he wouldn’t be shocked if £55m player did sign for Arsenal

Arsenal are in the market for a striker this summer.

The north London club need a clinical finisher to take them to the next level, and the search for a new attacker is very much underway.

Benjamin Sesko is the man the Gunners are said to be most keen on, and according to Ben Jacobs, there’s a good chance this deal gets done.

Indeed, speaking on The Done Deal Show, Jacobs noted that he wouldn’t be surprised at all if Sesko ended up at Arsenal this summer.

Ben Jacobs wouldn’t be shocked if Benjamin Sesko went to Arsenal

Jacobs spoke about the rumours around Sesko and Arsenal’s interest.

“First of all, John Cross is a fantastic journalist, he does great work for us at the FWA, so huge respect for him. He’s right in what he says in terms of Arsenal’s firm interest. Arsenal and Chelsea are the two clubs pushing and nobody is saying that Sesko won’t end up at Arsenal, just as a journalist we don’t bet based on the odds as of now, we wait and see how things transpire,” Jacobs said.

“It is definitely true to say that Arsenal are one of the frontrunners and in my personal opinion, taking the reporting away, it wouldn’t surprise me if Sesko ended up at Arsenal, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Chelsea tried to ruffle a few feathers.”

Sesko could be perfect

Arsenal could bring Sesko to the Emirates this summer, and this could be the ideal signing.

Sesko has all of the attributes to go on and become a star for a team like Arsenal.

He’s fast, he’s strong, he’s young, he’s clinical and he’s so driven.

Sesko could be absolutely brilliant if Arsenal do get this deal over the line, and with a £55m release clause in place, it may not be hard for the Gunners to push this deal through.
